What is a Maine Coon Cat Show?

Maine Coon Cat Shows are competitions where judges evaluate cats based on breed standards, including size, coat quality, temperament, and health. These events, hosted by major registries like CFA and TICA, celebrate the distinct traits of Maine Coons and give us a chance to showcase our cats.

Titles – What Do They Mean?

Titles are awarded based on a cat’s performance at shows. Here are the key titles:

  • Champion (CH): Earned after winning points in competitions.

  • Grand Champion (GC): Achieved after continued success at shows.

  • Premier (PR): For neutered/spayed cats doing well in competition.

  • Grand Premier (GPR): The equivalent of Grand Champion for neutered/spayed cats.

  • Regional Winner (RW): Recognizes top cats in specific regions.

  • National Winner (NW): Awarded to the highest-ranking cats in the country.

Why Titles Matter

Titles demonstrate the excellence of our cats and our commitment to breeding healthy, well-tempered Maine Coons. They provide assurance that our kittens come from a top-quality breeding program.
